Tom Ford announces the opening of the new Madison Avenue flagship store located in Manhattan, NY, at the intersection of 61st Street and Madison Avenue.
Situated on the ground floor of the Carlton House — a luxe condominium complex — this newly renovated store at 672 Madison replaces the original flagship at 845 Madison.
Designed by William Sofield, owner of NY-based design firm Studio Sofield along with Tom Ford, the new Madison Avenue store occupies 12,300 square feet over two floors of the building and shares the signature store-design aesthetic of soft modernism and timeless luxury.
“The Manhattan store, opened in 2007, was the first TOM FORD store, and it took something quite special to inspire a move. This new location, with its combination of historic elegance and light- filled interior spaces, is unique to the city and will offer an exceptional home for US,” says Tom Ford.
An entry vestibule with double-height, mirrored ceilings greets visitors of the flagship, and on the ground floor consist of women’s offerings such as the handbag salon, jewelry salon, ready to wear salon, shoe salon and finally the cosmetics salon that offers the Tom Ford Beauty collection and women’s fragrances alongside eyewear.
Leading to the Men’s second floor is a dramatic spiral staircase, lit from below and defined by a black fiberglass balustrade. An elevator is also accessible through a discreet vestibule. Offerings such as Men’s Denim & Sportswear salon, the complete collection of Tom Ford denim and outerwear, Men’s Suiting salon, Shirting salon and Shoe salon are prominently showcased throughout the plan, while a luggage and jewelry salon, perfumery salon, and eyewear for men complete the presentation.
